The Health Professions Council is asking for feedback on new guidance for students.
The HPC is the regulator set up to protect the public which keeps a register of health professionals who must meet its standards for their training, professional skills, behaviour and health.
The Guidance on conduct and ethics for students is based upon the Standards of conduct, performance and ethics issued. These standards apply to both registrants and prospective registrants and the guidance is designed to build familiarity with those standards. It is also designed to help education and training providers to teach students about the standards.
Alongside this consultation, the HPC will also be consulting on guidance to explain the process which HPC follows when applicants or registrants declare information about their health or conduct. This includes information about how we make decisions about convictions and cautions.
The consultations are now live on the HPC’s website.
If you would like to request a hard copy or have any questions about the consultation please email the HPC.
SoR professional officer for students, Samantha Jewell is coordinating radiography responses. Please email her your views by 27 February.
