Now is the time to put yourself forward for this year's SoR Student of the Year Award.
For the second year running, the award will honour final year undergraduates who represent the 'best of the profession’s values'.
One award each will be made to a diagnostic and theraputic student for their 'outstanding achievement during their radiography training'.
Students will be nominated by their HEI, with an additional reference from their clinical placement.
"Many universities hold their own awards but this is a national competition judged by key members of the profession so the title is really unique," said Samantha Jewell, SoR student officer.
"The winners will stand out instantly when they apply for jobs – a great opportunity at a time when there is tough competition for posts."
The presentation will take place alongside the SoR Radiographer of the Year 2009 and Team of the Year awards, which is held at the House of Commons and attracts national press coverage. The ceremony is on Thursday 12 November 2009.
Nominations close 31 July 2009.
If you wish to be put forward, or want to nominate a colleague, please speak to your course tutor who can find more details by downloading the application form.
• The SoR would like to thank Fujifilm for their continued support of the Radiography Awards.
