A student from Scotland has launched a website dedicated to the education of qualified and future radiographers.
Ricky Bell developed x-raytoday.com when he became frustrated with other websites offering medical imaging information.
“I found that websites geared at medical imaging were either out-dated and quite hard to navigate, or aimed at radiographers and student radiographers,” said Ricky.
“Quite often many of the other websites in this sector concentrate on a variety of aspects of medical imaging on the one website, making it confusing for the user to know what is relevant to their field.”
The website is focused on image appraisal and case study presentations and Ricky has recently added a new feature which delivers case studies through video.
He is also currently developing a ‘test yourself’ module and a radiographic anatomy reference section.
Ricky continues: “We are hoping that, as the site becomes more popular, radiographers will start to submit their own case studies. These will be credited to them and therefore allow them to show that they are expanding their knowledge and helping other students.”
Ricky welcomes all feedback on the website. You can do this through the site’s contact us page or Twitter.
