The SoR has launched a new award to recognise outstanding achievement by radiography students.
The Radiography Student of the Year Award will honour final year undergraduate members who represent the best of the profession’s values.
One award each will be made to a diagnostic and theraputic student.
"This is a tremendous opportunity for a student to be rewarded for their outstanding achievement during their radiography training," said SoR student officer Samantha Jewell.
"This is the first time that the SoR has had such an award and we hope that it will attract a significant amount of nominees."
The presentation will take place alongside the nationally recognised SoR Radiographer of the Year 2008 and Team of the Year awards.
"The award ceremony itself will be at the Radiographer of the
Year event at the House of Commons, which is a spectacular venue. The
winner will be able to bring along their guests to celebrate. It is a wonderful
opportunity to celebrate achievement and recognise
excellent work."
Students will be nominated by their HEI, with an additional reference from their clinical placement. If you wish to be put forward or to nominate a colleague please speak to your course tutor.
